The Industry Achievement Award is the highest honour in the Canadian aquatic leisure industry. The PHTCC presents it each year to an individual who has made significant contributions to the development and growth of the pool and hot tub industry in Canada. Dave is proud to be one of only 12 recipients of this prestigious award.
The Canadian Pool & Spa Conference & Expo, held annually by the PHTCC, is one of the most important regional shows in North America, giving pool service experts the opportunity to network with their peers and keep current with industry trends and knowledge.
Industry Leadership
Dave has been at the forefront of industry leadership and education for over 25 years:
- He is the current secretary and past president of the PHTCC at the national level. He is also the current vice president and past president of the PHTCC’s Toronto chapter.
- Dave serves on numerous committees including education, technical and standards, and marketing.
- Globally, he is a founding member of the World Alliance of Pool and Spa Associations (WAPSA) formed this year in Cologne, Germany.
- Dave teaches extensively throughout Canada and the States, including courses on business, chemistry, safety, automation, and other industry topics.
